On Location: Jersey Shoreline Returns to Seaside Levels for Season 5

Jersey Shoreline It is a drizzly winter mid-day in Seaside Levels, and Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi - her recently slimmed-lower body put right into a skintight dress that barely covers her backside - sits in the bar, legs entered. Unlike the drunken, foulmouthed clown she appears to embody most of the time around the MTV reality hit Jersey Shoreline, Snooki is quiet, even modest, thanks simply to being underneath the weather. "I had been using up last evening," she states. Her fever is supported with a a sore throat and inflamed glands. But, she states, "I understand when you should switch on the switch." And switch it on she does, together with her seven other cast mates - Deena Cortese, "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Mike "The ProblemInch Sorrentino - scattered through the Beachcomber Bar and Grill within the town that released them into pop-culture infamy. The gang, who wrapped filming several weeks ago, has reunited in a favorite haunt in recognition of Season 5. (The premiere broadcast The month of january 5.) The atmosphere is completely celebratory, with a lot of smiles and hugs. "This," states JWoww, "is home." Coming "home" earlier this summer time would be a welcome change of pace in the two previous several weeks in Florence, Italia, in which the cast felt isolated and unnatural. "Once they [returned], I believe everybody licked the wood around the boardwalk," states professional producer SallyAnn Salsano. "It had been a large exhale." Not too it had been touring. To begin with, Vinny's mood dropped. He was homesick for Staten Island - Seasons 4 and 5 shot back-to-back - and temporarily left. "I desired a rest,Inch states Vinny. "Lots of drama was happening in Italia, so when you are completed with that, you need to go back home, have your mattress - no more drama." Losing the cast member who's perhaps probably the most levelheaded would be a blow towards the group, particularly given that they had no clue if he'd return - or perhaps be changed with a brand new roomie. "I was scared - we did not want other people in the home,Inch states Snooki. "Him departing was very strange. It felt like something didn't have within our family." Obviously, Vinny could not steer clear - after in regards to a week, he states, he came back to Seaside. "All I'm able to have to say is which i needed a rest, I left, and you've got to determine what goes on,Inch Vinny states. He wasn't the only person participating in high drama. Search for Deena to likely take part in (much more) girl-girl action. Pauly will attract another "stalker." Sammi and Ronnie, unlike tumultuous seasons past, relish their on-off courtship. "Our relationship was awesome," states Sammi. "It had been fun, it had been romantic - we'd a lot of fun together." (Following filming, the happy couple split again - both the decision was mutual.) JWoww and love Roger Mathews continue their love story, honoring the main one-year mark. Meanwhile, expect a lot of crackling tension between Mike and Snooki that started in Italia, where he says they smushed while she was dating her boyfriend Jionni. "Mike lied - he earned up stuff to interrupt me and Jionni up. I believe he wanted airtime or something like that," Snooki states. (For that record, Snooki states that whenever being split up "for, like, per week,Inch she and Jionni spent nearly every subsequent evening together in Seaside, and therefore are now shaping intends to marry "and also have, like, four kids.") Just how does Snooki deal with sleeping underneath the same roof because the enemy? "After I can't stand someone, I pretend they do not exist," she states. "That's what it is been. I do not need buddies like this during my existence." Not surprisingly, Mike is constantly on the stick to his version of occasions. "Only me and Snooki be aware of real truth," he states. That bottomless friction is familiar with this group, along with the year arrived, gossips are swirling that this may be curtains for Jersey Shoreline. Pauly D already has their own spin-off show, concentrating on his career like a DJ and slated to premiere at the end of spring. Snooki and JWoww have one that belongs to them that starts shooting this winter. And rankings for that mothership dropped this past year - Season 4 dipped from an 8.8 million high to six.six million audiences for that finale - raising the question: Has got the GTL gimmick started to put on thin for audiences? The cast, a minimum of, is showing no signs the finish is near. (MTV has choices on these for just one more season.) "I really hope [there's a Season 6] - I'd miss this place," states Pauly. "I love to be around every summer time." Seconds Salsano, "Basically been with them my way, I'd visit Seaside Levels every summer time until I die.
